But there is some weird noise while adjusting the size of the headphones. However, there is nothing to fear about the sound, but it’s essential to know.

Comfortability

In terms of comfort, the Skullcandy crusher is excellent. The brand has taken care of little things such as cushion earcups size.  The cushions it uses are soft and comfortable to wear. I don’t know if it is leather or not. Whatever it is, it provides good comfort.

Talking about the weight of the headphones, it is on the higher side. It has more weight because it has large earcups that add extra weight. Moreover, it uses memory foam technology which is known to provide the optimum level of comfort.

On the top, the brand provides four squares to give you that extra comfort. Unfortunately, it does the exact opposite. I don’t know why this is, but it sometimes feels annoying until you get comfortable with it. It will hardly take 2-3 days to adjust.

In terms of sound quality, the headphones are decent. These perform well on low levels(more on that later). The headphones have dual drivers to give the best music experience with punchy bass. If you don’t know, drivers are the thing that produces music and bass. However, the dual driver used here favors vocals more.

While listening to music, you will feel that extra bass suppresses the vocals. Some people may like this, but others like balanced sound. As a result, you get mixed experiences.

Fortunately, Skullcandy has taken care of this issue also. It lies in the bass controller. Whenever you feel that the vocal is getting suppressed with bass, adjust the bass level to low or what suits you. That’s it, and you are good to go.

On a low bass level, everything feels more balanced. For instance, the sound separation gets better. Moreover, you will know exactly from where the sound is coming.

Entertainment

Watching movies and content with this Skullcandy Crusher 2014 is just marvelous. The experience while watching action scenes is so good that you will feel like watching a movie in an Imax theatre.

We even tried these headphones while playing games. Just like watching movies, the experience with gaming was also excellent. Likewise, the gunshot and background music was loud and clear. Overall the headphones are amazing for gamers and others who watch a lot of content.

Battery Life

In terms of battery, the Skullcandy crusher is among the best, if not the best. The company claims to have 8 hours of battery life. I tested these headphones at a 50 percent volume level. Guess what? After two days of moderate usage, the headphones still had 30 percent of the battery left, which is impressive.

According to the testing result, the company’s claim about the battery backup is true, actually. Although the battery backup can vary as per the volume level, one thing is for sure: you will not face any issues with the battery backup.

Bass

Bass is the area where the Skullcandy crusher 2014 outshines its competitors completely. The dual driver produces heavy and punchy bass. The bass is so heavy that you can feel that vibration in your ears. Now you can understand why it has the name crusher in it. I would call it hyper bass.

As you already know, it has a button to control the bass levels. What’s surprising is that even on the lowest bass levels, it produces more bass than regular bass-boosted headphones such as Sony MDR 650 and others. In my personal experience, I could not listen to music on high bass levels, even as a bass lover.

So if you are a bass lover, you will not find anything better than this, at least not at this price bracket.

Passive Noise cancellation

Regarding noise cancellation, Skullcandy Crusher is pretty good. The passive sound isolation technology it has used works fine. It filters all the unwanted sounds from the environment. As a result, the audio experience gets better.

The crusher 2014 comes at a budget-friendly price of $99. Although the price is variable, as a result, it can vary from time to time. In general, you can get in between $99 to $140. For the price, the headphone offers excellent value.

The only people I will not recommend these headphones to are those who do not love heavy bass. Despite this, they want a more balanced sound with the best-in-class vocals.
